Meet The Doctor
Dr. Mona Patel
Dr. Patel was accepted into a 7-year joint college-dental program in 2005. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 3 years. She continued to University of Medicine and Dentistry in 2008 and graduated with a DMD in 2012. Dr. Patel furthered her dental education in the General Practice Residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. She enjoyed her residency experience so much she joined staff upon completion in 2013 and continues to teach the current residents. She went on to start her practice in Fanwood, NJ in 2014, which she still currently owns.
Dr. Patel enjoys spending her free time with her family and avid reader. She is conscientious, thorough, and takes immense pride in her work. Her excellent skills as a dentist and her compassion for every patient has made her an instant success in our office. Her passion for dentistry is immediately evident by her vast, in depth knowledge of all procedures and modern technologies available.
Dr. Talia Miceli
Dr. Miceli grew up in Homdel, NJ and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Maryland in 2015. She went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from The University of Maryland School of Dentistry and received the honor of being inducted into the National Dental Honors Society OKU in 2019.
Dr. Miceli furthered her education at a general practice residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where she maintains staff privileges as an attending dentist.
In her free time Dr. Miceli enjoys spending time with her dogs, Dottie and Milo, exercising, and baking. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve happy and healthy smiles and promoting comprehensive patient care.
Dr. W. Christian Madsen
Dr. Madsen grew up in Bergen County New Jersey. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1984. He went on to dental school at UMDNJ, New Jersey Dental School in Newark New Jersey where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1989. Dr. Madsen furthered his education in dentistry by completing a post-doctoral program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at The New Jersey Dental School in 1990.
Dr. Madsen also maintains staff privileges at Jersey Shore University Medical Center since 2000 where he teaches the General Practice residents in the dental clinic servicing patients from the community.
Dr. Sally-Jo Placa
Dr. Placa grew up in Union County New Jersey. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Chemistry from Drew University in Madison New Jersey in 1985. She went on to dental school at UMDNJ, New Jersey Dental School in Newark New Jersey where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1989. Dr. Placa furthered her education in dentistry by completing a post-doctoral program in General Practice at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune New Jersey in 1990. In 2001, Dr. Placa received her Masters in Public Healthcare Administration from Kean University.
Dr. Placa also maintains staff privileges at Jersey Shore University Medical Center since 1990 where she teaches the General Practice residents in the dental clinic servicing patients from the community.
Dr. Paulina Miller
Dr. Miller grew up in Holmdel, NJ and completed her undergraduate education at Boston College, graduating summa cum laude. Dr. Miller went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2023. She graduated with honors and was inducted into the prestigious National Dental Honors Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
She furthered her training at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where she completed a General Practice Residency. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Miller joined the staff as an attending and continues to work with current residents.
In her free time, Dr. Miller enjoys golfing, baking, and trying new fitness classes. She is passionate about providing comprehensive care and takes pride in tailoring treatment to the needs of each of her patients.
